PARKNASILLA RESORT AND SPA WELCOMES A NEW GENERAL MANAGER
Parknasilla is delighted to announce the appointment of Donald Morrissy as Resort General Manager.
Morrissy, a graduate of Shannon College of Hotel Management brings with him extensive experience from his association with some of Ireland’s highly regarded establishments. He has held senior management positions with the Macdonald Hotel Group UK, The Doyle Collection & The Clarion Hotel Group.
All of this lays him in good stead to take the reins here and lead a resort team with staff numbers exceeding 155 – in peak Summer – and to ensure that Parknasilla continues to standout as one of Ireland’s leading four star hotels with a reputation for five star standards.
Morrissy adds “I have a few weeks under my belt already and I am hugely impressed with what I have observed so far. Parknasilla is already a very successful hotel and it is for me to now make it even better.
In the coming months, I will concentrate on how we can improve on the overall guest experience, with view to delivering even higher standards and some new additions for our new and many returning guests in 2019”
Morrissy will report to the Managing Director Tony Daly. Tony has been at the helm of Parknasilla since the new owners came on board December 2012, and in this time the resort has enjoyed significant revenue growth. Tony comments “finding the right candidate for this role was not easy, I was happy to bide my time and my patience has paid off. Donald’s first month at Parknasilla was the busiest in the hotel’s history and he settled in with ease and his contribution was commendable, so we are both looking forward to the road ahead because in this business you can never stand still – you must always be improving”
