International students who wish to apply for the BBS degree programme offered by Shannon College must either apply directly to the College or through one of our student recruitment agents abroad. The list of official agents is available upon request from the Admissions Office. Candidates should apply using the Shannon College Application Form, which is available in PDF form.
Entry Requirements for Bachelor of Business Studies Degree
Candidates who wish to gain admittance to Shannon College should contact the Admissions Office directly to discuss minimum entry requirements.
Selection Procedure
Candidates who apply for a place on the Bachelor of Business Studies Degree Programme will be invited to interview. These candidates are requested to complete an application form by Shannon College prior to the interview.
Interviews take place at Shannon College or at the offices of our student recruitment agents abroad. Telephone interviews are also employed in limited circumstances. The interview helps prospective students to learn more about the College as they have an opportunity to meet faculty and staff. In addition to the interview, written tests may also be required. Candidates must satisfy the minimum entry requirements and be suitably proficient in the English language if they wish to be selected for entry to the BBS degree programme.
Fees
Fees depend on the residency status of the applicant. Non-EU nationals may be charged an EU Fee if the application is made by a person (a) who is permanently resident in one of the 25 member states of the European Union and (b) who will have received full-time second-level education, for three of the five years immediately before the date of proposed admission, in a member state of the European Union or in a combination of member states. International students who do not meet these conditions will be charged international fees. The fee sheet for the next student intake is contained in the following document
Age Limit for Entry
Students must have reached 17 years of age by January 15 th of the year following proposed entry to the College.
Entry Requirements for Foundation Language Programme
Candidates whose native language is not English must satisfy the College that their English language skills are sufficient to fully participate in the BBS degree program. Candidates whose English language skills are not sufficient may benefit from a period of study on the Foundation English language program. |
