Reporting directly to the Hotel Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the food and beverage operation in this extremely busy 4 star property.
To have at least 2-3 years Food and Beverage or Bar Management experience within a large F&B Operation, ideally within a hotel environment.
Must have a ‘hand on’ ‘can do’ approach to service and have a good fundamental knowledge of beverage/cocktail mixology skills.
The candidate must possess strong leadership capabilities to effectively manage a team of between 20-25 team members. Responsible for forecasting wage costs, rosters, timesheets, holiday planning etc. for the F&B Team.
To ensure effective cash and stock control procedures are in place and adhered to at all times. Ordering of stock. stock taking etc. ensuring that agreed Food & Beverage GP% is achieved on a monthly basis.
Ability to update, change, trouble shoot problems etc, with the micros point of sale system.
The candidate will need to possess lots of drive and ambition and this position may suit someone who is looking for a platform to progress to Hotel Management level.
Good ability to work efficiently under pressure and deal with high volumes on a weekly basis.
Be highly Guest Focused – natural instinct for ‘hospitality’ and lively, friendly and welcoming personality is essential.
Fluency in English is essential.
The position is centered mainly around evening and weekends – the ideal candidate must be willing to work late nights, weekends, bank holidays etc. This position also involves carrying out Duty Management shifts 2-3 times per week so a hotel background would be an advantage.
