General Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent food and beverage service to our customers.
  • All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Raglan Road policies, practices, and procedures, as well as within the framework and intent of the Raglan Road Proclamation.
  • Responsible for preparing and/or directing the preparation of food to be served complying with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards and following established food production programs and procedures.
  • Responsible for appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss, waste, and fraud.

Essential Duties

  • Perform all opening and closing duties according to the specific standards.
  • Employees must have the ability to reflect the attitude, theme and culture of the Raglan Road concept to ensure a welcoming, inviting and authentic restaurant/pub experience.
  • Coordinating the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts.
  • Remain focused on the floor during peak times to ensure standards are upheld and guest’s needs are being met.
  • Complete all definite assignments and responsibilities for your assigned shift.
  • Supervising staff throughout their shift and providing them with feedback to improve performance and guest experience.
  • Provide positive reinforcement to staff when seen to be following correct operating procedures and maximizing the guest experience.
  • Responding to customer complaints and dealing with them accordingly.
  • Meeting and greeting customers and organizing reservations. Constantly conversing with customers through table touches to ensure a memorable dining experience.
  • Taking responsibility for the business performance of the restaurant.
  • Establishing budgets and/or adhering to them and managing the business according to these budgets.
  • Planning and coordinating menus and providing direct guest feedback to ensure needs are being met on the menus created.
  • Supervisors may be requested to cover at other restaurants within the company. This demands mobility, flexibility and a willingness to travel.
  • Attend all relevant meetings and staff briefings.
  • Appearance must be neat, clean and in proper uniform whenever on-duty and remain professional and presentable when visiting the business off duty.


  • Degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent. Must be 21 years of age.
  • A minimum of two years of service experience in a Full-Service, High-Volume Pub-Style Restaurant and prior experience in labor and food cost control is necessary.
  • Previous experience in an Irish Pub and/or previous experience in an Entertainment/Concept restaurant.
  • Employees must have the ability to reflect the attitude, theme and culture of the Raglan Road concept to ensure a welcoming, inviting and authentic restaurant/pub experience.
  • Excellent communicative skills; ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 25-50 pounds or less; manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
