Sales Manager – Europe
As our Sales Manager – Europe you will develop, grow and oversee some of our key European accounts across all market segments with a primary focus on high end leisure.
As our key European sales specialist within the region you will initially be responsible for developing New Business and growing our market share through our existing accounts by promoting Hotel Café Royal as the luxury hotel of choice in London for European corporate business and High Net worth travellers. With exceptional local knowledge & contacts within the region you will undertake extensive travel in order to meet key accounts, develop and qualify potential accounts, participate in road shows and regional travel exhibitions in order to grow a prestigious portfolio of accounts. You’ll also undertake regular Account Management activities such as hosting fam-trips, arranging client visits to Café Royal and liaising with travel managers.
You will work closely with our Director of Sales on a day to day basis in order to support the implementation of the wider Café Royal Sales strategy. You will also work closely with our Dutch & French sales teams as we grow and develop The Set and our collection as we redefine the concept of a luxury hotel. Your other duties will include working with and supporting our relationships within Europe with our key distribution partner and representation company Leading Hotels of the World to ensure their sales agents are fully aware of our facilities and services in order to promote and sell our hotel effectively. You will be expected to play an active role in the formulation of the annual sales budget & plan for the hotel, from which you will regularly report on business trends, the performance of your market, revenue and costs against the P&L.
Reporting to the Director of Sales with close daily liaison and support from Sales Co-ordinator, you will gain exposure to the sales function for this busy multi-outlet hotel. You will provide administrative and office support mainly to our sales managers in order to promote and sell our hotel facilities and services in the most engaging and informative way to our domestic and international clientele and associated business partners. In your role you will develop a general awareness of the Café Royal Sales plan, strategy and market segments and support the sales managers in achieving key business objectives.
You will assist with various tasks including, but not limited to:
- Researching via the internet, databases and local area walks in order to generate potential accounts for the sales managers to target
- Establishing contact and following up all sales account leads or suspect accounts generated from arrivals lists, database research, road shows, sales blitzes and general research
- Ongoing competitors research and competitors’ offer check
- Company/client research as required in order to help the sales managers prepare them for sales calls, client visits, site visits and familiarisation trips
- Assist with daily administration tasks and coordination of the office
- Conducting and participating in client show rounds, familiarisation trips and sales events hosted at Café Royal
- Provide guests, agents and clients of Café Royal with accurate and relevant information on all Café Royal event rooms and spaces, rates, packages, facilities and services
A great opportunity has arisen for a passionate and exceptional Events Executive to join Hotel Café Royal.
As an Events Executive your role is to represent Café Royal to the domestic and international Events Market and become a specialist in promoting our hotel event facilities and services in the most engaging and informative way to our clientele and business partners. Passion to provide a personalised guest experience, strong selling skills, deep product knowledge combined with knowledge of the latest trends in the London Events scene, confidence and a “voice with a smile”, are required trademarks for this position to successfully master the elegant delivery of our products and services.
Working as part of a larger Events & Groups team you will oversee and organise all aspects of a client’s meeting or function requirements including; venue hire, AV equipment and food & beverage; from the initial enquiry up until the day of the event you’ll deliver a consistently high standard of event management services to our guests. You’ll also undertake a range of follow up duties including billing and post event feedback in order to generate repeat business.
