Reservations and Revenue Manager

Campus Life Services (Plassey Campus Centre) is a University company that manages facilities and services that contribute to campus life and the cultural life of the region. These include accommodation, catering, retail, the University Concert Hall and the University Sports Arena. A key activity for the company is to market the campus for conferences and events during the summer season when the facilities are available. Typical events include academic and charity conferences, sports tournaments, summer schools and events such the annual Community Games National Finals.

The Reservations and Revenue Manager is responsible for the maximisation of room revenue, occupancy percentage, management of the bedroom reservations and allocations of 2,800 bedrooms located on and off campus at University of Limerick throughout the Summer period. This is achieved through efficient yield management, revenue analysis and tracking of reservations over multiple distribution channels, in conjunction with the General Manager. As a member of the UL Conference and Sports Campus Team, you will have the opportunity to assist in setting strategic direction, determine pricing, create promotions, develop operational processes and explore new distribution opportunities for sales.

Key Requirements for this position:

  • Excellent knowledge of reservation property management systems to include rate management,
    reporting and yield management strategies as well as online booking channel management.
  • A good understanding of the conference, events and tourism sector is desirable
  • Excellent customer service and organisation skills
  • 3 years sales experience in a busy bedroom/conference/resort reservations environment
  • A third level qualification in business/marketing/services marketing/tourism or commensurate
    work experience is desirable
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills along with a flexible approach
  • Sound commercial acumen, ability to exercise sound judgment, demonstrate high initiative
    and solve problems creatively

The salary package offered will be commensurate with skills and experience.
