Restaurant Floor Manager – The Carriage House

We are seeking a Restaurant Floor Manager to join our Michelin Plate awarded Carriage House team. Located just a short walk from the Manor The Carriage House is very much a destination in its own right. Essentially an all-day eatery combining five dining zones that offer flexible, seasonally-inspired menus alongside a number of highly acclaimed signature dishes. The Carriage House offers a relaxed environment with a team who pride themselves on creating the highest standards of genuine heartfelt service. We are seeking a candidate who will work in collaboration with the leadership team to enhance the guest service we deliver with a strong floor presence and welcoming approach.

As Restaurant Floor Manager in The Carriage House your main responsibilities will be:

  • Deliver superior service and maximise guest engagement
  • Gather guests feedback, resolve guest issues and recommend improvements
  • Organise and supervise shifts
  • Remain hands on throughout the entire shift and assist as needed
  • Hold the team accountable to our Beyond Everything standards whilst remaining hands on and leading by example
  • Ensure the team is well educated on the menu items
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to minimise waste
  • Train new and current team members on the agreed sequence of service
  • Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations
  • Additional responsibilities as provided by Senior Leadership in The Carriage House

Successful candidates for this job will:

  • Have experience within a similar role
  • Demonstrate a strong leadership presence and take a proactive hands on role in order to engage with guests and support colleagues on all levels
  • Be an inspirational leader who is passionate about creating highly energised teams to provide world class service
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a pressured environment with high expectation guests
  • Have extensive knowledge of food and beverage
  • Be commercially astute and have solid financial awareness
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends and holidays
