Duty Manager

We are currently inviting applicants for a full-time role as a Duty Manager to join our front of house team.

As a member of this team, you will be assisting in the day-to-day running of the department which includes taking bookings, checking guests in and out of the hotel, allocates rooms and keys, answers the phone and is the main point of contact of the guests.

As Duty Manager, you will:

  • As Duty Manager, you will oversee the operation of the Resort whilst on duty and ensure that a consistently high standard/quality of service, product and customer care is delivered at all times.
  • Inspect all aspects of the business ensuring compliance with standards of cleanliness and order and direct respective personnel to rectify deficiencies immediately.
  • Liaise with all departments, ensuring that communication of the day`s activities are relayed in a clear and timely manner.
  • Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  • To assist with all Hotel departments when they are busy.
  • Anticipate guest needs in order to enhance quality service and in turn enhance guest satisfaction and deliver the best service while creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.
  • To make sound decisions in a fast-paced and busy environment, sometimes in the absence of the Hotel Manager.

Qualities we are looking for:

  • Minimum 2 years previous hotel 4*/5* experience.
  • Fluent English both oral and written.
  • Shares our passion for delivering the highest standard of customer service.
  • Have excellent communication, procedures, and administration skills.
  • Ability to show a positive attitude towards guests and colleagues at all times.
  • Be self-motivated, being able to work alone with good personal organization.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Additional Information:

  • Ability to commute/relocate – Grange, Castlemartyr, CO. Cork: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
  • Language – English (preferred)
  • Work Location – In person.
