Front of House Manager

Walker 1781 has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual with a passion for customer service. We are on the hunt for an extraordinary a Front of House Manager who is a master of first impressions and a stickler for attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Guest Experience: Ensure that every guest interaction is consistent, positive, and in line with our brand standards.
  • Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the front of house, ensuring seamless functionality and team coordination.
  • Team Development: Train, mentor, and guide the front of house team to deliver exceptional service and uphold company values.
  • Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends and propose forward-thinking initiatives to enhance the guest journey.
  • Brand Representation: Act as an ambassador for the brand, ensuring all guest engagements are professional and align with our core values.

Operational Tasks:

  • Oversee and implement marketing strategy and initiatives
  • Optimise reservations, waiting lists, and table assignments for premium guest satisfaction.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the back-of-house team, ensuring a cohesive dining experience.
  • Address feedback proactively, always aiming for heightened guest satisfaction.
  • Guide and mentor, the FOH team, promoting growth and exceptional service standards.
  • Maintain rigorous standards across hygiene, safety, and service protocols.
  • Manage FOH revenue operations with precision, ensuring accurate financial transactions.
  • Coordinate timely restocking of FOH essentials, from menus to table settings.
  • Prioritize the aesthetics and cleanliness of all guest-oriented areas.
  • Analyse guest feedback and sales data for continuous refinement of operations.

Desired Qualities:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years previous supervisory experience within the Hospitality Industry.
  • Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting, cost control, and analysis.
  • Have previous experience in reservations systems
  • Possess excellent customer service skills
  • Have a mature and pleasant manner for dealing with customers and team members alike
  • Have the ability to foresee potential challenges and proactively suggest solutions.
  • Have a keen eye for detail, ensuring nothing is overlooked in the guest experience.
