What the role is:

  • Coordinating with departments (banqueting, catering, AV, housekeeping)
  • Managing client expectations for bookings – Corporate events and Social events
  • Providing excellent service to clients
  • Handling lastminute changes calmly and efficiently
  • Coordinating across vendors, hotel teams, and clients
  • Creating proposals based on client requests and expectations
  • Managing multiple events simultaneously
  • Tracking budgets, contracts, deadlines
  • Prioritizing under pressure
  • Upselling hotel services (catering, room blocks, AV)
  • Negotiating with vendors and clients
  • Producing cost estimates
  • Managing invoices and event P&Ls
  • Ensuring profitability of events
  • Handling unexpected issues (weather, equipment, staffing)
  • Quick decisionmaking
  • Creative solutions on event day
  • Familiarity with hotel PMS (Opera)
  • Event management software
  • AV basics (projectors, mics, staging)
  • Ensuring compliance with hotel policies
  • Reviewing Function sheets (Banquet Event Orders)
  • Doublechecking room setups, dietary requirements, and schedules
  • Ensuring a seamless guest experience

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience with Hotel Event planning
  • Outstanding attention to detail and effective communication
  • Ability to follow verbal directions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Outgoing and friendly personality
  • Have a professional image at all times in line with the Hotel standards
  • Hospitality expertise (understanding guest flow, service standards)
  • Marketing knowledge (event promotions, social media)
  • Cultural awareness (working with international clients)
