The Sloane Club is looking for a Front Desk Agent to join the team at one of the most storied private members’ clubs in London. This is a rare opportunity to deliver genuinely personal service — the kind that is seldom possible in a hotel — to a community of Members who will know your name, and whose names you will know.

Founded in 1922 to provide accommodation for ex-Service Women following the First World War, The Sloane Club has served for over a century as a sanctuary in the heart of Chelsea — a place to gather, socialise and share ideas. Reborn in 2025 following a total redevelopment imagined and executed by the renowned Russell Sage Studio, the Club today brings together a brand-new Wellness Suite, reimagined restaurants and bars, dedicated workspaces, elegant private rooms and 66 Member-only bedrooms and suites, all within an iconic eighteenth-century building on Lower Sloane Street. Membership also unlocks a network of more than 100 reciprocal clubs worldwide, from The Yale Club in New York to Saint James Paris.

As a Front Desk Agent you are the first welcome and the last farewell — the face of the Club for Members, their guests and visitors from our reciprocal clubs around the world. Working at the heart of the operation, you will manage arrivals and departures for our 66 bedrooms and suites, anticipate needs before they are spoken, and help create the sense of belonging that defines the Club.

- Welcome Members and guests by name, with warmth, discretion and genuine care
- Manage check-in and check-out for our 66 bedrooms and suites using Opera Cloud, our property management system (full training provided)
- Handle room reservations, allocations and billing with precision and attention to detail
- Act as a knowledgeable guide to everything happening at the Club, from the cultural programme to dining and wellness
- Coordinate closely with housekeeping, porters and food and beverage colleagues to ensure seamless stays
- Assist Members with introductions to our network of reciprocal clubs worldwide
- Resolve questions and requests calmly, gracefully and on first contact wherever possible
W H O W E A R E L O O K I N G F O R
- A natural host: polished, warm and discreet, with an instinct for personal service
- A qualification in hospitality or hotel management is a strong advantage, and we warmly welcome ambitious recent graduates
- Experience in a luxury hotel, members’ club or five-star environment is desirable but not essential
- Familiarity with Opera Cloud or a comparable property management system is helpful; full training is provided
- Fluent English; additional languages are always welcome at an international club
- The right to work in the United Kingdom

£30,784 per annum. Full time, working five shifts over seven days on a rota that includes weekends, covering early and late shifts. Benefits include:
