Eugene Leonard  (2002) and Jim Lyons (2008) hosted am amazing event in Claridge’s Hotel to coincide with the Viva Voce interviews in London. There was a wonderful turnout who were treated to free flowing Champagne and canapés. There was a great turnout from across the years – 1980’s up to Year 4 students due to graduate in 2018.

Kate O’Connell spoke to those in attendance updating them on news from the college particularly further study options being now offered by Shannon – more details >> here . There was a moment’s silence in memory of London based alumnus Ross Mahon (2005) who passed away on January 6th – Kate remembered him with fondness and acknowledged some of his classmates who had returned to Ireland for his funeral the next day and were missed on the night.

The London Chapter would not be as successful without the generosity of members stepping forward to host events – thank you Eugene, Ciarán Fahy from the Ritz, Kieran Quinn from Sheraton Grand Park Lane and Edward Bracken from the Crowne Plaza Kensingyon. The driving force behind all of these get togethers is Jack Conroy – massive thanks to you for keeping the momentum going!!

Thank you to the photographer on the night – Patrick Farrell – you did a magnificent job 😉

Roll on 2018! #KeepTheContact
