If you had to re-live your time in Shannon College, would you do anything differently?
Being more active and not taking everything so seriously.
What advice would you give to your 20 year old self?
Don’t stress yourself out over every detail, it will work out. Be ambitious but flexible, look for roles that will give you a broad range of work experience; but at the same time it is ok if you say no sometimes for your own mental health.
In your life, what achievement are you most proud of?
Every job I’ve ever had makes me proud as I’ve gained experiences that led me to become a business owner.
What qualities do you think are most important to have for a rewarding career?
Hard work, patience, flexibility and honesty.
What has been the biggest challenge you have faced during Covid-19?
Being restricted to move around freely, no physical touches.
What advice do you have for current SCHM students who are looking for inspiration and hope?
Just hang in there. This is a very particular time that none of us has experienced before therefore we all have different coping mechanisms. If you use this time to upskill and learn new things – AMAZING! If you don’t and feel like the minimum and just recharging that’s AMAZING TOO. Try not to compare yourself with others.
