What 3 words best describe your experience as a student of Shannon College?

Friendship, hard work, fulfillment.

What college memory still makes you smile?

Changing tyre on the way into college at the side of the road at Bunratty on a car that was so rusted it couldn’t be jacked, so we manually lifted it with help of second car load of classmates.

If you had to re-live your time in Shannon College, would you do anything differently?

Not really, I found Switzerland very tough but got through it because I had my classmates to support me.

What advice would you give to your 20 year old self?

Believe in and follow your dreams.

In your life, what achievement are you most proud of?

Changing career from hotel management to consumer credit which was only possible because of the great business education I got in Shannon.

What qualities do you think are most important to have for a rewarding career?

Loving what you do.

What has been the biggest challenge you have faced during Covid-19?

Not being able to come home or travel to see family and friends.

Do you have words of wisdom that you try to live by?

Set your objectives without restriction caused by worry as to how you can achieve them.

What advice do you have for current SCHM students who are looking for inspiration and hope?

Times are very tough but with vaccination the world will reopen and you will have stellar future ahead of you by virtue of the great education and training your are getting in Shannon.
