The NUI Club London will be hosting an evening in the Irish Cultural Centre, Hammersmith on Friday the 30th of November  2012.

The event will address Seanad reform and the NUI Constituency; Irish NUI graduates living abroad voting rights and impact of such reforms.

Since 1970s and calls for reform, the NUI & TCD Seanad constituency reform highlighted the need for the Seanad constituency to be expanded to involve 3rd level graduates and voting rights.

Roll on 2012/2013 and with the reform wheel in full motion in Irish political life we have seen two turns of reform that have impacted on Graduates; the alleged dissolution of the NUI and now the push for the dissolution of the Seanad. NUI Club London during the last election saw an increase in interest from graduates in London on how to register for NUI Seanad elections.

The NUI Club London would like to open the debate in a series of seminars kicking off on the 30.11.2009 in Hammersmith for all graduates and begin the debate among this section of the Diaspora.
