Billy O’Connell (1997) R.I.P.
Sean Farrell contacted me today with the very sad news that his classmate Billy O’Connell passed away this morning, December 10th 2021. Billy died peacefully at home after an illness, surrounded by family.
Billy was such a gentleman who always in good form and never fell out with anyone. He was very witty and had a great sense of humour.
From talking to Billy’s classmates this week, he was exceptionally close to many of his classmates and his passing is widely felt by the Class of 1997. Billy was Deputy General Manager in The Johnstown Estate who are all mourning not just the passing of a colleague but a member of their hotel family.
Our thoughts are with Martina, daughters Keeve and Sophie, his parents and siblings and his many friends and classmates.
